Property valuation for court matters in Indore
Indore property cases start in the district court and, on appeal, go to the Madhya Pradesh High Court's bench in Indore itself. A report used in either has to state its date, its method and every figure it relies on.
The cases we are asked into
- Partition of a family house, an IDA plot or farmland between heirs.
- Disputes over IDA allotments, where the lease terms decide what each side actually holds.
- Plots sold in colonies that were never approved, where buyers seek their money back from the developer.
- Matrimonial cases involving a jointly owned home.
- Compensation disputes when land is taken for a road or a scheme.
One bench for the whole region
The High Court bench at Indore hears appeals from 13 districts of Malwa and Nimar, including Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar. A case about land at Pithampur, in Dhar district, therefore ends up in the same building as an Indore city dispute. We prepare reports for both.
Dated, and shown in full
Where a case turns on a past date, often the day the suit was filed, we value as at that date from the guideline list and registered sales of the time. Where land is disputed, the report records the survey number, the area in the records and the area on the ground, and says where they differ.
What the court receives
A signed report with the valuation date on its first page, the method, the sales it compares against, and photographs taken at the inspection with the date and place recorded. Where each side has its own valuer, ours sets out every assumption, so the court can compare the two reports line by line.
Indore court valuation questions
- Will our appeal go to Jabalpur?
No. Indore district falls under the High Court's Indore bench, so appeals are heard in Indore.
- We bought a plot in a colony that was never approved. Can a valuation help our case?
Yes. The report states what the plot would be worth with approval and what it is worth without, which helps the court measure the loss.
- Can the valuer give evidence in court?
Yes, if the case needs the valuer who signed the report to appear.
