Refund and cancellation policy
When you can cancel, what happens to money you have already paid us, and the one guarantee we make about the report itself.
Last updated 6 September 2026.
Before we begin any work
If you cancel before we have inspected the property or started drafting the report, we refund every rupee you have paid. Nothing is held back for an initial phone call or a discussion about scope, because that is simply part of talking to a valuer and it costs you nothing.
Once work has begun
Once we have inspected the property, or started drafting the report from documents you sent us, some of that work cannot be undone. If you cancel after that point, we deduct the value of the work actually completed and refund the rest.
We will tell you what that deduction is and why before we make it, not after. If you disagree with it, say so and we will explain our workings.
Once the report is delivered
A signed report is a finished professional opinion, not a draft you can return. We do not refund a fee once the report has been delivered and accepted, except under the guarantee below.
Our guarantee on the report itself
If a bank, a court, an income tax officer or another authority you submitted our report to formally rejects it for a reason that comes down to an error in our compliance or our methodology, tell us in writing within 30 days of that rejection and we refund 100% of our fee.
This does not cover a rejection caused by facts you did not tell us, documents you did not provide, or the report being used for a purpose we were not told about when we prepared it. It also does not cover an authority simply disagreeing with a professional opinion that was arrived at correctly.
Send us the rejection letter or email and we will look at it honestly, whichever way it turns out.
How we pay a refund
We refund to the same account or method the payment came from, adjusted for any tax already accounted for as GST rules require. We aim to process an agreed refund within 7 business days.
